10 CSR 10-2.385 (new rule) Control of Heavy Duty Diesel Vehicle Idling Emissions
|
103 |
Tiffany Campbell |
| |
This proposed rule will require that all commercial, public and institutional diesel vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 8,500 pounds in the current Kansas City Maintenance Area limit their idling to five minutes in any 60-minute period, unless the vehicle meets one of the exemptions included in the rules. These vehicles would be permitted to idle for 30 minutes while waiting to load or unload at a location. The proposed rule also places responsibility on the load/unload locations to make sure that heavy duty diesel vehicles comply with the requirements of the rule.
