MISSOURI SYMBOLS PROGRAM IS
JULY 12 AT MISSOURI STATE MUSEUM

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 1, 2008 -- The Missouri State Museum will offer a program on July 12 looking at all of the symbols that represent the state of Missouri.  Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, this afternoon program is 2 to 3 p.m. in the State Capitol. It is free and open to the public.

Interpreters will explain all 23 of the symbols that represent Missouri. There will be activities for everyone in the family. Seating will be provided.  Anyone interested should meet at the tour desk in the first floor rotunda.

Special programs will be held on selected weekends this summer at the Missouri State Museum. The Missouri State Museum is located inside the State Capitol, which is on Capitol Drive in Jefferson City.
