JEFFERSON CITY, MO., JULY 18, 2008 -- The swimming beach at Pim Lake in St. Joe State Park in Park Hills will close temporarily July 21 for improvements, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources announced today.

The improvements will involve replacing the existing beach surface with new sand and extending the existing sidewalks to provide more direct access from the parking lot. The work should be completed and the beach reopened around mid-August.
